Using your NDIS funding for Customised Employment

This resource has been developed to provide information to families who are supporting their family member to utilise their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding to implement the Customised Employment approach. It provides the following steps for families to understand each stage of the process to ensure the funding is utilised as effectively as possible.

Customised Employment tailors a job or self-employment to fit the interests, contributions and conditions for success of a person, while also meeting the needs of a business or the market for a product or service.

Steps

1. Develop employment goals.
2. Determine the support that is required.
3. Understand the available NDIS Employment Supports in relation to Customised Employment.
4. Based on how the plan is managed determine where you will access support.
