Australian blueprint for career development
Overview
This guide describes a framework that identifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes people need to effectively manage their careers. It aims to assist individuals, career development practitioners and others who provide some level of support for people’s career development (including teachers, parents, employment service providers and employers). The blueprint provides a nationally consistent set of career management competencies to help all Australians better manage their lives, learning and work.
The blueprint is accompanied by a user guide containing examples and a suite of 10 practice guides that will give practitioners helpful steps for applying the framework in their career development practice.
The blueprint can be used in a range of ways (including to design sequenced career development learning opportunities, learning plans and portfolios for learners), in a variety of settings and with a diversity of client groups.
