Employer engagement in the Work Programme
Overview
The Work Programme was introduced by the Coalition government in June 2011 in England, Scotland and Wales, its aim being to assist long-term unemployed people, young unemployed people and disabled people into work. This report explores employer engagement in the Work Programme and the Youth Contract Wage Incentive, drawing upon a mixed method study, comprising a quantitative survey of employers and in-depth, semi-structured, face-to-face interviews.
