Neurodiversity data at work

Overview

This guide outlines how to measure and report workforce neurodiversity in a respectful, safe and accurate way. It explains how collecting neurodiversity data can strengthen workplace neuroinclusion and presents six guiding principles to support effective, ethical and trustworthy data collection practices.

Australia has no requirement for organisations to track or report workforce neurodiversity, leaving little data on the representation, experiences, or career outcomes of neurodivergent employees. As a result, most organisations lack the insight needed to meaningfully advance neuroinclusion or understand how well neurodivergent staff are supported.
