What works in employment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with disability: an Indigenous-led evidence synthesis report
Overview
This report brings together evidence on what supports better employment participation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with disability. Across the literature, stronger outcomes are associated with services that are Indigenous-led, culturally safe, relational and flexible enough to reflect family, community and cultural realities. Poor outcomes are linked less to individual capability than to systems that are culturally unsafe, rigid or unresponsive. The report focuses on the conditions that make employment, education and training pathways more accessible, trusted and sustainable.
The final report is accompanied by a summary(Opens in a new tab/window) and appendix.
